Rooted Some trees fall — and in falling, they begin again. Rooted was carved from a honey locust tree reclaimed from the urban forest of Boulder, Colorado. The form that emerged is unmistakably human — a head rising from the earth, caught between stillness and becoming. The wood chose this shape. We simply listened. The honey locust's signature flame gradient tells the whole story: deep amber at the base, warming through burnt orange, rising to gold and pale yellow at the crown. This isn't stain or finish — it's the living color of the wood itself, preserved and revealed through hand-carving and careful finishing.
