A lower seat can provide additional room to move around the bike during wheelies, tricks, and aggressive riding. A higher saddle position can be more comfortable and efficient when you're sitting down and pedaling for longer distances. That's why riders use the ROS Quick Release Seat Clamp. Instead of choosing one seat position and leaving it there, you can quickly change your setup to match how you're riding. Open the lever, adjust the seat, secure the clamp, and ride. For Big BMX and bike life riders who might go from practicing wheelies to cruising several miles during the same ride, that convenience can be especially useful. 5 Problems You Can Run Into With Other Seat Clamps Tools required for every adjustmentTraditional bolt on clamps normally require an Allen wrench whenever you want to change your seat height. A: The ROS Quick Release Seat Clamp secures the seatpost inside a compatible bicycle frame while allowing riders to quickly change saddle height. It's useful for BMX, Big BMX, wheelie bikes, cruisers, and other compatible bikes. Q: What is a quick release seat clamp? A: A quick release bicycle seat clamp uses a lever mechanism that allows you to loosen and tighten the seatpost clamp without using an Allen wrench for routine height adjustments. Q: Why would I want a quick release seat clamp on a Big BMX bike? A: Big BMX riders may want different saddle heights for different riding styles. You can run the seat lower during wheelies and bike life sessions, then raise it when you want a more comfortable seated pedaling position. Q: Is the ROS Seat Clamp good for wheelie bikes? A: A quick release clamp can be especially convenient on a wheelie bike because riders can quickly change their saddle height between wheelie sessions, rideouts, and regular cruising. Q: Does a quick release seat clamp require tools? A: No, you do not need tools for this seat clamp. You can twist the round nut on the opposite side as the release lever to tighten or loosen your clamp. Your release lever has a cam system that loosens the clamp when outward and tightens it when it is clamped down. Q: How do I know which seat clamp size I need? A: Check the required seat clamp diameter for your bicycle frame. The seat clamp fits around the outside of the frame's seat tube, so don't assume its size is the same as your seatpost diameter. You can use a micrometer to measure the tube tube of the frame. You can also use a measuring tape or ruler and measure the outside of the tube tube in standard and convert standard measurement to metric. Q: Is a quick release seat clamp better than a bolt on seat clamp? A: It depends on how you ride. A bolt on clamp works well when your saddle stays in one position. A quick release seat clamp is much more convenient for riders who frequently change seat height. Q: Can I use the ROS Quick Release Seat Clamp on a BMX cruiser? A: Yes, provided the clamp diameter matches the frame. It can be a useful upgrade for BMX cruisers, Big BMX bikes, and other bikes where riders frequently adjust their seat height. Q: How tight should a quick release seat clamp be? A: It should provide enough clamping force to prevent the seatpost from slipping without requiring excessive force to close the lever. Follow the bicycle, frame, and clamp manufacturer's specifications and never overtighten the clamp. Q: Why choose the ROS Quick Release Seat Clamp? A: Riders looking for an adjustable seat clamp can benefit from its quick, tool free operation. It's particularly convenient for BMX and Big BMX riders who regularly switch between low seat riding and higher seat cruising.
