Rosa mexicano [mEh-hee-kah-no], or Mexican pink, is a vivid and saturated purplish pink tone of the color rose. It was in 1949 when designer Ramón Valdiosera, backed by then Presid ent Miguel Alemán, created a collection inspired by the bougainvillea and traditional clothing and traveled to New York for a fashion show. .
