We've made no secret of the fact that we love LMR when it comes to rose essential oil and so it should come as no surprise that they are also our go-to for Turkish oil. In perfumery rose oil usually comes in two varieties: Bulgarian and Turkish. But what a lot of people don't know is that Turkish oil also comes in two varieties: regular (mostly from Afyon, Denizli, and Burdur) and deluxe (Isparta region). The Isparta oil is the finest of the Turkish rose oils and even has a special designation much in the same way that Champagne has in France. When selecting between Bulgarian oil and Turkish oil, the differences to consider are: Bulgarian oil is sweeter and more intense, while Turkish oils are fruitier, fresher and spicier. We are offering this wonderful oil pure and in a 10% dilution in natural Triethyl Citrate, an odourless isolate from citrus which is a particularly good diluent for rose materials.
