Rose Oxide has the most value in three forms: Racemic (cis isomer ~ 75%), [Racemic] High Cis (cis isomer ~ 98%) and Laevo. The latter is the finest, being of the purest odour quali ty and incredibly powerful with an odour threshhold of 0.5 ppb (racemic is 50 ppb). Racemic rose oxide (regular and high cis) has a beautiful scent of red roses and geranium, while Laevo Rose Oxide has that same scent but with added greenness and a radiance that has to be experienced to be truly appreciated. The merest whisper of Rose Oxide Laevo can convert a lovely rose or geranium accord into something sublime. This product is many times more expensive than the others for very good reason.
