A clean, architectural gown from the New York designer who trained under Carolina Herrera. 100% silk shell with an A-line silhouette that skims rather than clings, finished with a chapel train. Features a lovely Rose/Rosette design on one side of the waist. The bodice is a surplice V-neck on delicate spaghetti straps, softened by a wide pleated cummerbund with Rose at the natural waist. The signature detail is a hand-formed silk rose set at the left hip — sculptural, not fussy, and the reason this dress photographs so well from every angle. The back is a deep open V closed with a long row of silk-covered buttons over the zipper. Worn once, then professionally cleaned and preserved. No yellowing. The label says 10, but I think this fits more like a 4/6. The measurements taken flat are: Bust 15.5” Waist 13.5” Condition — please read: Sold as-is with gentle flaws, priced accordingly. Note small tear in one section of the hem and frayed spot on one of the shoulder straps that can be fixed by your tailor (see photos). I did price this out and it was about $150-$200 total for both repairs. I didn’t have them done because it would make sense for her new owner to have it hemmed to their height.
