This is one of my personal favourites - the Rosette Nebula - I actually captured this data over the span of 4 months between November 24 - February 25. I decided to revisit the data and reprocess it, applying another year of learning, experience, application and inspiration to obtain as accurate a representation of the Rosette as I could. This effort is comprised of around 30 hours of exposure time under bottle 4/5 skies in Newtownards, N. Ireland. The Rosette Nebula is a vast emission nebula located approximately 5,200 light-years away in the Monoceros constellation. This stellar nursery spans roughly 130 light-years across and showcases a distinctive rose-like structure formed by stellar winds from young, massive stars at its centre. The nebula's striking appearance results from ionised hydrogen gas glowing in deep red wavelengths, contrasted against darker dust lanes that define its intricate petals. A popular target for both professional astronomers and astrophotography enthusiasts, the Rosette Nebula represents an active region of star formation and offers compelling insights into the processes governing stellar birth and evolution. There will only ever be 85 prints sold in this edition, printed on stunning Giclée Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. Each one is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
