Red-tailed black cockatoo These noisy residents of the Australian bush move around to find the sweetest treats, preferring seeds, fruit, berries, nectar and flowers to insects or l arvae. They spend most of their lives high in trees and nest in tree hollows, which they enter tail first.There are five subspecies occurring across Australia. This design is based on an actual pair of cockatoos, Bill and Minnie (Minnie is on the left). They lived at the Territory Wildlife Park at Berry Springs for many years but recently retired to live in comfort away from the busy park. Show more
