Knitting pattern for Rosir, Icelandic sweaterKatrine loves old English roses, and when her daughter was born in 2000, she lived with her family in a house with over 100 different types of roses. The daughter was named Rose and this sweater is designed with Rose in mind. The sweater has an Icelandic-inspired design, which is why it has been named Rosir (meaning roses in Icelandic). The pattern is a reinterpretation of roses and purl stitches in the pattern create an interesting three-dimensional structure. The sweater is designed to be slightly oversized, with approx. 5 cm positive ease, so there is room for several layers underneath when you go out into nature. It is worked in the round from top to bottom. The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.
