The Rosy Barbs are one of the most popular and available barb fishes available to aquarium hobbyist. They are an active fish with stunning bright colors. They are considered to be one of the larger barb species and can grow up to 5 inches in the wild. When kept singly Barbs in general tend to be aggressiveness towards other fishes. However with a big enough tank and when kept in groups of 6 or more they will more than often keep the aggression towards themselves. In addition, it is best not to keep long finned and slow moving fishes in the same tank due to their habit to nip at long-finned fishes. Rosy barbs can make great additions to ponds too.
