A smaller shank tolerance will reduce cutter concentricity when in rotation thus reducing the chance of breakages 20 Degree clearance angle which reduces vibration in hole cutting Each cutter has a batch code consisting of: Material batch, Heat treatment process, Production process and Date of manufacture M2 material has a hardness of HRC63-65 Heat treatment - With Step-hardening process. The hardness on the teeth is HRC65-67 while the shank is HRC50-60. This can reduce cutter breakage significantly as it becomes less brittle 4.6mm wall thickness (more than other brands) which provides the cutter with more strength.
