Rough Wooing GinA bold new spirit from the Borders. Introducing the latest addition to the Border Spirits and Botanicals collection: Rough Wooing Gin. Like its sibling, Cornhill on Tweed Gin, this is a small batch, traditionally handcrafted dry gin, distilled with care in our Cornhill on Tweed distillery. After a few delightfully experimental weeks (and plenty of sampling), we arrived at a vibrant recipe using locally sourced botanicals: Sea Buckthorn, Raspberry, Cherry Bark, Heather, and Hazelnut. The Sea Buckthorn delivers a bright citrus punch, while the subtle sweetness of Raspberry and the floral notes from Heather bring a light, uplifting character. A touch of Cherry Bark and Hazelnut add warmth and depth, rounding off the profile in a truly satisfying way. Tasting Notes:Serve with a light tonic or splash of soda, a twist of lemon peel, and if you are feeling fancy, a few berries to garnish.
