In the highest wear areas, the darker colour will gradually burnish to a lighter copper. The amount of copper highlights will depend upon the level of wear. When first unboxing your cup pulls you may also notice a pale bloom on the surface of the bronze. This is caused by oxidisation of the oil rubbed finish during storage and can easily be removed with an application of a light oil, such as WD40, and buffing with a soft cloth.
