Round table is first shown at New Work, the second solo exhibition of Muller Van Severen at Valerie Traan Antwerp. Although the exhibition mainly consisted of glossy lacquer surfac es, it also presented three polyethylene tables mounted on rusted steel and red lacquered steel trestles. The colored tabletop with a thickness of 3cm is supported on a sleek red lacquered steel frame, creating contrast between the softness of colored polyethylene and the rigidity of the steel. This object is handmade in Belgium and has passed through the hands of many skilled artisans before arriving in our studio.
