Published in collaboration with Kavi Gupta and Paul Kasmin galleries, this volume offers the first in-depth look at American artist Roxy Paine’s Dioramas. Initially conceived in th e 1990s, it was n't until 2012 that Paine began to make the first of his technically ambitious Dioramas, which represent an important reinvention of the diorama, the nineteenth-century form of modern spectacle, for the twenty-first century. • Paine’s series of Dioramas are contemporary discussions in human industries and nature as they inform and reform the collective space.
