I’d like to think even the most passive followers of our social media outlets, possibly only having clicked the like/subscribe button due to a personal connection or a vague notion of “supporting the scene / shop local”, would now be semi conscious of the words ROYAL TRUX. But what do those two words mean? Well, to me the words “Royal Trux” mean a one way ticket to music heaven. My most long term fulfilling and fruitful catalogue of music in the broad history of rock ‘n’ roll music. Everything r ‘n’ r (again broad definition with avant-garde potentials) had the potential to be in the 90s but mostly… wasn’t. How does one get into Royal Trux? You’ve got to want to unlock the magic. The closest thing to a shortcut may well be 1998s ‘Accelerator’, a collection of saturated, ludicrous classic rock hits. Decades in I’m still in awe. - Nic
