It's advisable to scarify the seeds. You can do this by gently nicking the hard seed coat with a file or sandpaper, making sure not to damage the inner embryo. After scarification, soak the seeds in warm water for about 24 to 48 hours to soften the seed coat. Plant the seeds in a well-draining, sterile potting mix or a mix of sand and peat moss.
