Hexagonal Screw - sump pan retaining screw for the ZF four-speed automatic transmission. The screw passes through one of the pressed retaining plates and threads into the transmiss ion casing, clamping the pan lip and its gasket against the casing sealing face. Because the clamping load is carried through the plates rather than a bolted pan flange, the screws must be run down evenly and torqued to the specified figure in the correct sequence - pulling one down hard before the others distorts the pan lip and produces a leak. Supplied individually. The screws are commonly renewed as a full set during a fluid and filter service, particularly where heads or threads have corroded in place. Show more
