Measurements: Approximately 11'6 x 2'3 Rug Style: Runner Story This runner was weaved by a woman in Taznakht region south east of the Atlas Mountains, rugs from this region are known for their vibrant colors and the use of saffron as a base dye to reflect the earth color. Taznakht is also known for its high quality pure live sheep wool that makes some rugs feel almost as soft as silk. Thanks to the Moroccan government subsidiary initiatives and the assistance in co-ops creation in the great region of Taznakht, there are now more than 22000 women artisans who are weaving rugs in the south east region of the Atlas Mountains. Most of these women have inherrited the craftswomen-ship through generations and passed it on to their kids and grandkids.
