Rubber Base is an excellent way to strengthen your nails without using Builder Gel. This formula is more flexible and bends with the nail to prevent cracking upon impact. This may not be for everyone. The process to apply is similar to Builder Gel. Because the Rubber Base is a Base, you do NOT need to use Gel Base first. Just apply your Rubber Base in layers until you achieve the desired look. Each layer must also be cured in your LED/UV lamp. A Gel Top Coat must then be applied to your nails. (Follow instructions for curing on your bottles). Our Rubber Base Gels are Hema Free. Most are also TPO Free. Check the variant for specific ingredients. NOTE: Use caution when curing gel liquids in your lamp. Applying gel too thick can cause heat spikes, thereby causing a burning sensation on your nails. Also, wipe away any gel from your skin before curing in a lamp to avoid burning your skin. Additionally, make sure you cure your gel products according to the directions on your bottles each time. * This is super important! Over-curing or under-curing can cause issues and lead to gel allergies. *IMPORTANT: Make sure to cure all gels the appropriate amount of time (according to the instructions on your bottle). All gels are not created equal and have different curing times. Additionally, strictly UV lamps cure differently than LED and UV/LED lamps. Make sure your lamp is a minimum of 48 watts. Lamps also do not last forever, if you notice your gel isn't curing correctly or it stays soft, get a new lamp. I suggest replacing after about 2 years if you use it often. Extending the curing time will help until you purchase a new lamp in a pinch. Gel liquids need to be kept in a cool, dark place. Exposure to light will harden the gel. Exposure to extreme temperatures may affect the quality of gel polish/liquids and can cause gel liquids to seize up at the mouth of the bottle. All bottles are checked before shipping. If you receive a bottle that appears this way, you can use a sharp object to carefully pull the hardened gel out of the mouth, making the rest of the bottle usable.
