Rubber Mulch Pit with Installation Our rubber mulch pits are installed by our professional installers and come with 3" of colored rubber mulch, landscape fabric, and 4"high x 4"wide x 72"long rubber borders. This provides up to a 6' fall height. These are configured and priced for residential applications only. For commercial applications, please reach out to us for a custom quote. To determine the closest sized pit for your swingset, take the dimensions of the swingset and add 6' to both length and width. The pit you choose will need to be the same size or larger. For example, if your swingset is 19' wide x 15' deep, adding 6' to each dimension will give you 25' wide x 21' deep. The closest sized pit up from this is 30' wide x 24' deep. We may be able to shrink pit sizes with modifications to your swingset. Please call with any questions. Additional mileage charges may apply on jobs over 30 miles from 07432. Please call us at 201-670-4000 x1 or email [email protected] if you'd like a quote for a commercial playground or custom sized mulch pit. The Benefits of a Rubber Mulch Pit Weed Suppression - Rubber mulch creates a barrier that prevents weed seeds from taking root and dehydrates weeds before they germinate.Moisture conservation - Rubber mulch is nonporous, so it retains moisture and blocks evaporation. This allows water and fertilizer to reach plants while preventing fungus and mold from harming them.Durability - Rubber mulch is long-lasting and can withstand strong winds and floods, unlike traditional mulch that may blow away or float.Safety - Rubber mulch is a popular choice for playgrounds because it's shock absorbent and can cushion falls, reducing the risk of injury. It has a fall height rating that's more than twice that of wood mulch and more than three times that of playground sand.Eco-friendly - Rubber mulch is made from recycled rubber tires, which reduces waste and conserves resources.
