The polished face reveals a generous sp read of vivid green zoisite matrix with a bold, saturated magenta-pink ruby zone dominating the upper portion of the stone, alongside scattered smaller ruby patches and the dark hornblende mineral inclusions that are characteristic of this Tanzanian rock type. The wide oval form gives the full color composition excellent visibility across its face. Ruby in zoisite, also called anyolite, is found almost exclusively in the Longido area of northern Tanzania, where the two minerals formed together in a metamorphic geological process.
