A deep red lettuce full of antioxidants. For those looking to “eat the rainbow,” this is a fantastic addition to a well rounded colored fruit and vegetable diet. The leaves are deep red, curly and can be grown as a baby lettuce to snip and allow to regrow again and again or you can wait and harvest as full heads. Sow in a row a few inches apart for baby greens or 8 inches apart for full heads or you can do a little bit of both! Ideal temps are between 60-80 degrees. Sow in spring, summer or fall in cooler climates and fall and winter in zones 9+. Lettuce is a great cool weather crop and is quick to harvest. These sprout in only 7-10 days and you can get baby greens pretty quick. This is for 300 organic, Non GMO seeds to give a nice big row of baby greens (reds).
