Rudoulf Doetsch instruments are known for their characteristic clarity and projection, as well as a particularly smooth playing response. The tops and backs are carefully tuned and graduated, the bass bars fitted, and the Doetsch signature antique-style spirit varnish is applied by hand. This new, unused cello is set up by the Peter Zaret workshop with a hand-carved, high quality Despiau bridge, the lightweight Wittner tailpiece with four built-in fine tuners, Jargar A,D and G strings and a Spirocore tungsten C string.
