This thirty-five minute DVD shows the basics of both crafts; using yarn, cotton, denim and wool. Even though this video is only thirty-five minutes long, it is packed with importan t information on the basic steps in both crafts of rug hooking and rug braiding. The Rug Hooking section compares the Traditional style versus the Primitive style and demonstrates working with cotton, denim, wool yarn along with the traditional woolen fabrics. The Rug Braiding section of the DVD explains the different technique needed to be used in working with Primitive cotton and denim rugs, versus the Traditional woolen fabric. Because the braiding is slightly different in both, the two methods are shown, side-by-side. Show more
