The Rule-A-Matic Plus 40A is a high capacity marine bilge pump float switch designed for pumps drawing up to 20 amps. It automatically activates a bilge pump when water reaches 50 mm and deactivates when water falls to 19 mm. This model is suitable for 12V, 24V and 32V DC bilge pump systems and includes a protective impact-resistant cover and debris guard to help reduce switch jamming. The Rule 40A does not include an in-line fuse holder. For the version with an in-line fuse holder, use the Rule 40FA. What is the Rule 40A used for? The Rule 40A is used to automatically control a bilge pump by sensing rising water levels in the bilge. It can also be used to operate compatible high water alarm systems.
