Ornamental Upright Replica of a Viking Age Runestone from Jämtland, Sweden. Sweden has the largest number of surviving runestones than any other Scandinavian country, with around 2 500 runestones discovered to present day. We have a selection of some of the most famous runestones from Sweden, scaled down so they can be displayed comfortably in your home as beautiful ornamental pieces. Each runestone is free standing and handmade in Sweden from a gypsum based material called marmorit and have the feel of real stone. - The inscription reads 'Östman Gudfastson had this stone erected, made a bridge and christianized Jämtland. Esbjörn made the bridge but Rivn carved the runes on the stone'. - Height 11cm (4.3 inch), width 5cm (2 inch), depth 3cm (1.2 inch). - Weight 180g (6.35oz). Show more
