In 2014 UMe/Mercury reissued Rush's self-titled debut on heavy-weight vinyl in celebration of the album's 40th anniversary. Now in 2015, let the Rush 40 celebration continue with ' 12 Months of Rush' reissues – in chronological order - starting with 1975's Fly By Night on LP. During the '12 Months of Rush' campaign all 14 of the band's Mercury albums will be remastered on 200-gram heavy-weight vinyl at legendary Abbey Road, all from original analogue masters. All LPs will also include a digital download code for a 320kbps MP4 vinyl ripped Digital Audio album download. This 1985 release was Rush's 11th studio album, and the first time they worked with producer Peter Collins, who recorded the album at The Manor in the U.K., George Martin's AIR Studios in Montserrat and Sarm East Studios in London. It was also the group's first album released directly to CD. Power Windows launched an era in which the band expanded into new sonic directions, and featured synths heavily. Neil's lyrics focused primarily on various manifestations of power - "Manhattan Project" explores the origins and consequences of the U.S. military's development of the atomic bomb, and "Territories" comments on nationalism around the world. The tracks "The Big Money" and "Mystic Rhythms" were both made into videos for MTV and the album once more hit #10 on the Billboard 200 and eventually sold a million copies, earning platinum status.
