We include heavy-duty mounting hardware suitable for standard wall spaces. Expert Tip: For total safety and maximum weight distribution, we highly recommend anchoring your metal brackets directly into wooden wall studs. Please follow the steps below: Align the Bracket: Position the bracket on the shelf, ensuring it lies completely flat and square against the timber surface. Drill the Correct Pilot Hole (If you did not want pre-drilled holes): Use a drill bit that matches the screw's inner shank diameter (not the outer thread width)—typically 2.5 mm – 3 mm. Pre-drilling prevents timber splitting while preserving enough wood fiber for a tight grip. Avoid oversized bits, as they prevent screw threads from catching. Start Screws by Hand: Align the bracket over the pilot holes and start each screw by hand for a few turns to ensure threads engage straight without cross-threading. Tighten Securely: Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver (PH2), tighten until the screw head sits completely flush and firm against the bracket. Do not overtighten, as high torque can easily strip the wood threads or damage the screw heads. If using an impact driver or power drill, adjust to a low torque/power setting to prevent the bit from slipping or stripping the timber. Care Instructions: Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
