Rustic tripod stool made of elm dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. Acquired from a small farm in South West Wales, the previous owner recalls it from her childhood and remembers being told stories about it which go back to at least 1910-20. The top has an undulating wood grain pattern typical of English elm with gnarled legs giving it plenty of character.
