RUSTWASH is a detergent built on phosphoric acid to remove rust stains and scale, also for phosphate conversion of rust prior to painting. RUSTWASH converts rust back to metal form, removes rust stains & scale, rust preventive treatment for steel prior to painting, and is ideal for dip tanks. DIRECTIONS FOR USE RUST CONVERSION: Use RUSTWASH in an undiluted form. RUSTY STEEL SURFACES: Heavy rust flakes should be removed. Dilute RUSTWASH 1:3 with water and paint the surface thoroughly. Allow to dry for a minimum of 2 hours. The white phosphate coating should be either brushed or washed from the surface prior to painting. DIP TANK: Dilute RUSTWASH 1:5 with water and immerse steel until rust free. RUST STAINS: Convert RUSTWASH to a detergent by diluting 1:15 with water; apply liberally to surface with a mop or brush.
