A smooth mellow coffee with balanced acidity and a sweet lingering aftertaste. Rwandan coffee is grown on high hills in fertile volcanic soils, and the finest beans tend to be hand picked, mostly during the rainy season of March through to May. Coffees from Rwanda often reveal a fruitiness and freshness that is reminiscent of red grapes or red apples, with berry fruit flavours and floral qualities also being common.
