Rwanda Kinunu Fully washed Red Bourbon from Kinunu, Rutsiro District, Western Province, Rwanda, on the shores of Lake Kivu. The Kinunu washing station sources coffee from surrounding smallholder farmers. Flavour Journey Grown among the hills of Rutsiro District in Western Rwanda, Kinunu coffee is cultivated by smallholder farmers overlooking the shores of Lake Kivu, where the high elevation, volcanic soils and lake-moderated climate create ideal conditions for slow, flavourful cherry development. Carefully hand-selected ripe cherries are brought to the Kinunu washing station, where they are washed using natural spring water and carefully sorted before drying and roasting — resulting in the coffee's mellow sweetness, caramel richness and delicate peach and stone-fruit character.
