Rx Carprofen Flavored Tablets Carprofen Tablets are a prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated to reduce pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and postoperative recovery in dogs. These flavored tablets make dosing more convenient and are administered orally. Dosage: Recommended oral dosage for dogs is 2 mg/lb (4.4 mg/kg) of body weight daily. This can be given as a single daily dose or divided into two doses of 1 mg/lb (2.2 mg/kg) twice daily. Postoperative Pain Control: Administer approximately 2 hours before the procedure to help manage pain after surgery. Tablets are scored for easy dosing in half-tablet increments.
