The RYO Deep Cleansing & Cooling Shampoo clears oily, congested scalps in a single wash. Its formula reaches deep into pores, lifting excess sebum, product buildup, and dead skin c ells. The result is a scalp that feels genuinely clean, not stripped. At the heart of this shampoo is a surge of menthol and mint leaf extract. The cooling sensation starts the moment you massage in the lather. It holds for hours after rinsing. Lotus flower extract and green tea add a purifying layer. Sodium salicylate, a gentle BHA, keeps follicle openings clear wash after wash. The formula is pH-balanced, silicone-free, and mineral oil-free. If an oily scalp by midday is your biggest hair concern, this shampoo gets to the source. It keeps it controlled. ** What This Shampoo Does for Your Scalp The RYO Deep Cleansing & Cooling Shampoo was built for one job: clearing the oil, sweat, and buildup at the root of most scalp problems. Its concentrated formula removes excess sebum and impurities using cleansing particles smaller than the diameter of a pore. That means it gets into places a standard shampoo cannot reach. It lifts out the debris that causes greasiness, scalp odour, and a heavy, congested feeling at the roots. The scalp feels genuinely clean after each wash, not tight and stripped, but reset and balanced. The cooling effect starts within seconds of massaging in the lather and holds for hours after rinsing. Many people notice their scalp stays less oily for longer between washes than with anything they have used before. This means less frequent washing over time, not more. For scalps that struggle with persistent oiliness, this formula offers a reliable reset from the first use. The Cooling Ingredients and What They Do Menthol is the ingredient behind the immediate cooling sensation. It activates the skin's cold receptors, which quiets the urge to scratch. It brings fast relief to a scalp feeling overheated, itchy, or congested. Alongside it sits mentha arvensis, the mint leaf extract that cleanses deeply and helps suppress dandruff. These two ingredients work closely with sodium salicylate, a BHA that gently exfoliates the scalp surface over time. It loosens dead skin cells and keeps follicle openings clear without irritation or abrasion. The combined effect is a scalp that looks calmer and feels lighter after every wash. Licorice root extract adds a potent anti-inflammatory action. It soothes redness and sensitivity while cleansing is happening. Even scalps that flare easily tend to tolerate this formula well in regular use. The formula is pH-balanced, which helps the scalp microbiome stay stable and reduces post-wash reactivity. The Plant Ingredients and Patented Technology RYO built this shampoo around fifteen plant-derived natural ingredients and multiple patented technologies. The standout is the green granule system. Tiny capsules containing nelumbo nucifera lotus flower extract dissolve into the lather as you massage. They release their deep-pore purifying action exactly where it is needed. Green tea leaf extract adds a concentrated layer of antioxidant catechins. These protect the scalp from oxidative stress and maintain a healthy environment for follicles to work well. Panax ginseng root extract improves circulation at the scalp level, supporting root health over time. Houttuynia cordata, a traditional Korean botanical, brings antibacterial and anti-allergic properties. It is particularly valuable for scalps prone to sensitivity reactions. The Aquaxyl complex, made from xylitol and related sugar molecules, counterbalances the strong cleansing action. It optimises the scalp's natural water reserves, so the scalp stays hydrated even as surface oils are removed. Honey adds a final layer of antibacterial protection and moisture, keeping the scalp environment balanced rather than depleted. How It Feels and Performs in Use The shampoo is a clear, slightly thick gel with small green granules and a herbal-citrus scent. The scent reads as fresh and clean rather than heavily perfumed. The formula is concentrated, so it needs significant water to activate. If the lather seems slow to build, add more water rather than more product. Once the foam builds, it is dense and bouncy and satisfying to work through the scalp. The cooling sensation builds from the moment you start massaging and peaks in the first minute. Rinsing is clean and thorough, with no heavy residue left behind. The scalp feels light and noticeably cooler after rinsing, and that freshness holds through the day. Fine or dry hair may feel a little stripped after washing given the strong clarifying action. Using a lightweight conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends is worth building into the routine. For oily scalps, the clean result is the whole point, and it lasts considerably longer than most shampoos deliver. Who This Shampoo Is For This shampoo suits oily, congested, and sensitive scalps best. If excess sebum by midday is a regular problem, this formula gets to the source. If your scalp gets itchy or smells between washes, it addresses that too. If product buildup keeps coming back, the deep-pore cleansing system handles it in one step. It also suits anyone who wants a scalp-first approach to hair washing, treating the scalp as carefully as the skin on your face. The silicone-free and mineral oil-free formula, combined with the pH-balanced base, makes it a good fit for scalps that react to conventional shampoos. It contains fragrance and honey, so it is not suitable for those with fragrance sensitivities. It is also not suitable for a strict vegan routine, as it contains honey. If your scalp has been looking for a proper reset from a formula that goes further than standard options, this is where to start. *** How to use: Wet hair and scalp thoroughly. Dispense a generous amount into your palms. Work into a lather with your hands first, then apply to the scalp and roots. Massage in circular movements for one to two minutes. This lets the cooling and cleansing ingredients work fully. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Frequency: Use as your main scalp shampoo whenever you wash your hair. Scalps that produce a lot of oil may suit daily use. Drier scalps may prefer two to three times per week, alternating with a gentler formula. Routine placement: Use as the first cleansing step in a wet hair routine. Follow with a lightweight conditioner applied to mid-lengths and ends only. Avoid applying conditioner to the scalp after this shampoo, as it reduces the cleansing effect. For a double-cleanse approach, this works well as the second-pass shampoo after a scalp oil or pre-wash treatment. Storage: Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap closed between uses. Complementary products: Pair with a moisturising conditioner or hair mask on the mid-lengths and ends. A scalp toner or essence applied after rinsing can extend the cooling sensation and add extra hydration to the scalp. **** Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Acrylates Copolymer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Salicylate, Sodium Benzoate, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Menthol, Sodium Chloride, PPG-3 Caprylyl Ether, Sodium Hydroxide, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Di-C12-13 Alkyl Malate, Citric Acid, Linalool, Geraniol, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lactose, Sucrose, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Malt Extract, Alcohol, CI 77289 (Chromium Hydroxide Green), Tetrasodium EDTA, Phyllostachys Bambusoides Juice, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Phosphatidylcholine, Xanthan Gum, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dextrin, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Alcohol Denat., Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Xylitol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Rehmannia Glutinosa Root Extract, Glucose, Honey, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Polygonatum Odoratum Rhizome Extract ***** Mentha Arvensis (Mint Leaf) Extract - deeply cleanses and soothes the scalp, prevents dandruff, relieves itchiness; Menthol - delivers a cooling sensation, reduces itching, antibacterial and antifungal; Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus) Flower Extract - encapsulated deep-cleansing particles that remove pore-sized impurities; Panax Ginseng Root Extract - enhances scalp nutrition and blood circulation, antioxidant; Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract - soothes scalp inflammation; Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract - antioxidant and antimicrobial scalp protection; Houttuynia Cordata Extract - antibacterial and anti-allergic; Sodium Salicylate - gentle BHA exfoliant that lifts dead skin cells and clears pores; Honey - moisturising and antibacterial; Aquaxyl complex (Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol) - sugar-derived hydrating complex that limits water loss ****** Show more
