The tip of the drill makes a hole for attaching the rim and handle. The nail is narrow so a collet must be used to secure the escutcheon pin when drilling. The escutcheon pin with a #66 tip (drill bit) is #20 which is mainly used on regular rims. The escutcheon pin with a #55 tip (drill bit) is used to attach the mini brass & bolt and pendant top handle. The escutcheon pins with a 1/16 tip (drill bit) are #16 and #18 which are used on handles for smaller baskets.
