In comparison to our S1 Starter Pad Sets the S1 Shred Pads are a little bulkier with more padding and are also slip on pads which make them a little more secure on the elbow and knees than the Starter Pads which wrap around the knee and elbow. To figure out what size you need measure the circumference of your elbow at the elbow joint and the circumference of the knee at the knee joint and compare your measurement to the sizing guide below. SIZING NOTE: Generally with the Shred Pads we see that skinny boys and girls age 3-5 usually fit the XS/S sets and boys and girls age 5-7 generally will fit into the M/L size.
