The S6001, a product by Danaher, is a dependable Kollmorgen single-axis micro-stepping drive known for its superior motor performance. As a recirculating 6 amp bipolar drive with 160VDC, it effectively operates 2 phase hybrid step motors. This independent axis drive is compatible with numerous indexers or motion controllers to generate both direction and step signals. Able to manage two-phase permanent magnet hybrid step motors with 4, 6 or 8 leads, it can operate with linear actuators, precision gear motors, and step motors ranging between 17 and 42 frame. Its distinguishing feature is its advanced anti-resonance circuitry, virtually eliminating mid-range instability and significantly improving motor torque. The S6001 utilizes airflow cooling. It should be mounted with vertical heat sink fins and enough clearance for convection currents to flow, maintaining an ambient temperature below 35°C. Leave a minimum vertical and horizontal clearance of 4 inches and 2 inches respectively, avoiding placement above heat-generating equipment.
