The player with the most gold at the end of three exciting rounds is crowned the winner! Each player is assigned a hidden role via the Dwarf Cards: either a dedicated miner or a sneaky saboteur. The suspense builds as these roles remain a mystery until the round concludes, ensuring every decision is tinged with intrigue. At the game’s start, the Start Card and three Goal Cards are strategically laid out on the table, each separated by seven cards, with only one Goal Card concealing the coveted gold. Players utilize their hand of cards to navigate the mine, making crucial decisions on their turn. They can choose to place a Path Card, play an Action Card on another player, or simply pass. Path Cards are essential for the miners, as they strive to create an uninterrupted route from the Start Card to the elusive Goal Card. However, saboteurs will do everything in their power to thwart these efforts without revealing their true identities. Strategy and subtlety are key! Action Cards introduce a layer of depth, allowing players to assist or obstruct one another while revealing vital information about the Goal Cards. The tension escalates as miners race to build their paths, and saboteurs plot their moves. The round concludes when a player successfully connects a Path Card to the gold, rewarding the miners with gold piece cards. Alternatively, if the miners fail to reach the gold, the saboteurs triumph and claim their prize! Once the Gold Cards are distributed, the excitement continues into the next round.
