Challenges in 2016 included an especially low yield, and so the addition of 4% Tempranillo is new in this vintage, adding even more depth of flavor. As an expression of the Zin var ietal, on the nose find aromas of blackberry preserves, violets and gunsmoke. On the palate, rich dark berry and dried plum with vanilla and powdered cocoa.
