The South African SADF 70 Pattern Small Pack is an original military surplus patrol bag. Bush War Heritage Issued to the South African Defence Force during the 1970s and 1980s Bord er War, this pack replaced the older 61 Pattern gear. Based on the British 58 Pattern, it was adapted for hot climates and field durability. In Distressed condition, these bags show heavy military use, including marks, small repairs, or surface staining while remaining functional. Practical Layout and Storage The pack features a 3.5L main compartment measuring 8 x 9 x 3.5 inches, secured with a top flap and webbing strap buckle. Two side pockets measuring 3.5 x 6 x 2 inches provide space for smaller items. Originally designed to hold R1 rifle magazines or field rations, the outer pouches offer quick access on the move. Carrying System and Materials Made from heavy cotton canvas with solid metal fittings, this bag handles tough outdoor environments.
