The stigmas are hand-harvested, and over 150 flowers are needed for each gram of dried saffron! Saffron is common in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking, and you can't make paella without it! Tip: As seen in our Saffron TikTok, you can steep saffron in ice. Details: In western Afghanistan, Saffron threads are hand-harvested from organically grown, non-GMO crocus flowers. Available in three sizes: 0.5 gram saffron packed in miniature glass sample jar (non-magnetic). 0.5 g is enough for 5+ recipes; approximately 1 1/2 teaspoons. 2.0 grams saffron packed in small magnetic jar (saffron will fill approximately 2/3rds of the glass jar). 2.0 g is enough for 20+ recipes; approximately 2 loose tablespoons. 6.0 grams saffron packed in large magnetic jar (saffron will fill approximately 2/3rd of the large glass jar) and is approximately a loose 1/4 cup.
