Orange and grapefruit cut through black pepper with a brief flash of citrus before leather begins to emerge underneath. The transition is deliberate. Jasmine softens the edges of the leather while honey brings warmth and richness without turning the fragrance overtly sweet. Then comes the slow part. Amber and vanilla begin to envelop the composition as incense curls through the base, leaving behind something warm, smoky and quietly provocative. After Hours doesn't arrive all at once. It gets better the longer the night goes on. Perfumer’s Notes After Hours was constructed around warmth, shadow and contrast. The brightness of citrus in the opening is intentionally brief — a flash before the fragrance begins moving somewhere darker. Leather gives the heart its structure, but jasmine prevents it from becoming hard or overtly masculine. Honey acts almost as a bridge between the leather and the amber-vanilla base, adding richness and texture. Incense is the final detail. Not enough to make the fragrance overtly smoky, but enough to leave the impression of something still burning somewhere nearby.
