Saicho Sparkling Darjeeling Tea is made with single-origin black tea from the foothills of the Himalayas in Darjeeling, India. Often called the “Champagne of teas,” Darjeeling is grown at almost 2,000 meters above sea level, where cool mountain air, loamy soil, and slow-growing leaves help develop its signature muscatel character. Hand-picked in the summer when this flavour is most pronounced, the tea is cold brewed for 24 hours to create a delicate, balanced, and expressive sparkling tea. Aromas of bergamot oil, pink grapefruit, sandalwood, and saffron lead into mandarin, ginger, and wood spice, with gentle, dry tannins. Saicho was created to bring more depth to non-alcoholic drinks at the table. Darjeeling pairs beautifully with grilled meats, lasagna, roasted vegetables, mushroom dishes, and rich savoury meals.
