The Saint Archangel Michael Ring is a ring in 925 sterling silver engraved with Saint Michael the Archangel, named in Scripture as the commander of the heavenly host and invoked by the church for protection since its earliest centuries. He is shown with his sword, the attribute by which Christian art identifies him, cut in relief across the face of the ring.The inside of the band is left smooth and unworked, so all of the detail sits on the outside where it is read. Michael is the saint asked for defense in trouble, and the ring carries that petition on the hand through the day.
