Peter’s story is especially powerful because Scripture never hides his weaknesses. He acted impulsively, became afraid, and even denied knowing Jesus on the night of His Passion. Yet Christ restored him, asking three times, “Do you love Me?” and then entrusting His flock to Peter’s care. Peter went on to preach Christ courageously and ultimately gave his life for the faith he once feared to admit. Saint Peter reminds us that God does not wait for perfect people. He calls real people, restores them when they fall, and can build something extraordinary through a life that keeps returning to Him. Saint Peter, pray for us.
