The Saint Peter Signet Ring is a signet in 925 sterling silver engraved with the emblems of the Apostle Peter, the fisherman Christ called the rock on which the Church would be built and whom tradition counts as the first Pope. The face carries a cross and the keys of the kingdom of heaven.The keys are what identify him, since Peter is rarely shown in Christian art without them, and setting them on a signet places them on the ring form long used to seal a document with the authority of its bearer. It is worn as a sign of faith, steadfastness and the protection of the saint.
