Thomas More was a brilliant English lawyer and a councilor and friend to King Henry VIII. He passionately opposed the king's ideas of reforming the Church in England, and was behea ded for it. However, More was always a true man of God who could still honor his king. "I die the king's good servant, but God's first," were his last words.
