Flatworm eXit treats flatworm infestations in reef tanks. The treatment itself is safe for fish and invertebrates, but flatworms release body fluid when they die that can be toxic to reef inhabitants at high concentration - so preparation matters as much as the dose itself.Before treating Siphon out as many flatworms as possible first - check crevices and hiding spots (a powerhead or turkey baster can blow them out into the open for removal) Have fresh activated carbon ready in a canister with forced flow Turn off UV and ozone, remove activated carbon, but leave the skimmer running Dosing 1 drop per gallon (4 liters); the dropper holds ~300 drops (10 mL), and a capful is good for about 90 gallons Add to a high-flow area of the tank (mix manually if treating a refugium too small for a powerhead) Should start working within 30 minutes; if no visible flatworm death within 45 minutes, add 50% more As soon as flatworms start dying, add the activated carbon to remove released toxins UV/ozone can go back on after about an hour Take your time with treatment and monitor the tank for at least 6 hours afterward. Have 25% of a water change ready in case it's needed. Keep out of reach of children; for aquarium hobby use only.
