I throw my forms on the wheel, alter them, and then glaze them a luscious matte glaze that is microwaveable and dishwasher safe! The glaze feels very soft; the grooves and dimples are intended for your fingers to nest comfortably within them. Most pieces will be compared for scale next to a hand for reference and volume in OZ is provided. Each pot has a luscious matte, food safe glaze on the interior. All mugs are created in small batches, fired in small batches with their respective variations. I take pride in each piece being entire unique in variation of size, alteration, and most imporantly- surface. All of my ceramic wares are fired in cone 10 reduction, a high temperature glaze firing in which the lack of oxygen in the kiln creates an atmosphere where particles in the clay and glaze are desperately searching for it- in turn creating incredibly amazing and wildly varying results! Each piece of my work reflects the story of my hands and fire, dancing in the flames to become a special object meant to be loved and enjoyed. Thank you for supporting my exploration in both clay and fire.
